“Vision” Statement: The vision the New Hope Baptist Church, Como, Sterling, Illinois is the saving of souls for Christ and the edification of the church membership. The Pastor shall seek to accomplish this vision through public authentic worship of God, preaching and teaching obedience to the Word of God, advocating consistent Christian living by its membership and through the conduct of personal evangelism, missionary work, and Christian endeavors.

 

“Objective” Statement: The Pastor’s objective is to grow a spiritual body of believers that will trust God with every detail of their life.

 

“Stewardship” statement: The Pastor’s stewardship statement is to encourage the membership to take ownership of their church and give wisely of their Time, Talent, and Tithe (Mr. T).

 

“Ministry Growth Development” (MGD) Statement: The Pastor’s Ministry Growth Development statement is to encourage each ministry group to develop an achievable plan that will focus on the physical, spiritual, and financial maturity of each member. This plan must be consistent with the Pastor’s overall vision for the church and encompass the following:

R Read God’s Word daily (Acts 17:11)

O Obey God daily (John 14:21)

W Witness for God daily (Matthew 4:19)

T Trust God daily (1 Peter 5:7)

H Holy Spirit Empowerment daily (Galatians 5:16&17)
